Live Betting on 11xplay: How In-Play Markets Work Today
An earlier version of this article tried to predict where live betting is heading. Predictions date quickly, so we’ve replaced it with something more useful: how in-play betting actually works on 11xplay right now, why it sometimes behaves the way it does, and what you can do to stay in control when prices move every ball.
What “live” means here
Once a match starts, its markets stay open and keep moving. On a cricket match that typically means:
- Match Odds, the exchange market on the winner, where you can back or lay at prices set by other players.
- Bookmaker, fixed rates such as 85 (₹85 profit per ₹100).
- Fancy (session) lines on runs at 6, 10, 15 and 20 overs, batter scores, partnerships and single overs.
Each of these reacts to the match differently. Match Odds can swing hard on one wicket. A 10-over line moves with every run. The Bookmaker rate tends to change in steps between overs. If any of these formats are new, our odds guide explains how to read them.
Why markets suspend
When something important happens, such as a wicket, a boundary off the last ball of an over, a DRS review, an injury or rain, the market is paused for a few seconds. That pause exists to protect everyone: without it, a person watching a faster feed could bet on a price that is already wrong. When the market reopens, the price or line has moved to reflect what just happened.
On TV, you are usually watching a few seconds behind the real match. So if the screen shows a market suspended and you haven’t seen anything happen yet, wait. You’re about to.
Why a live bet gets rejected
Between your tap and the bet reaching the exchange, the price can change or the market can suspend. When that happens, the bet isn’t accepted at the old price. This is the system working, not failing. Check the new price, decide whether you still want it at that price, and only then place it again. Re-tapping quickly without looking is how people end up with bets they didn’t mean.

How fast settlement is
Session bets settle from the official scorecard once that over or event is complete, usually within minutes, so winnings can be used again during the same innings. Match Odds settle when the result is confirmed. If a match is shortened by rain, the match’s Rules tab explains what happens to each market. Read it once before betting on a cloudy evening.
Live betting on a phone
11xplay runs in your phone browser, so there’s no app to update. Add it to your home screen for one-tap access (the app page shows how). A few practical tips for in-play betting on mobile:
- Mobile data is often steadier than crowded Wi-Fi during a big match.
- Close other heavy apps. A frozen screen in the 19th over is a bad time to find out.
- Back and lay buttons sit side by side. Check which colour you’re tapping.
- Set your stake before the over starts, not while the bowler is running in.
The part that matters most: limits
Live betting is fast. A T20 innings offers a new line every few balls, and settling quickly means a losing run can happen in twenty minutes. That speed is why limits matter more in play than before a match:
- Decide the total you’ll put in for that match before the toss.
- Keep each live bet to 1–2% of your bankroll (see betting tips).
- Ask the desk for a deposit limit or a cool-off pause if you notice yourself chasing.
